Treatment of cellulite with the Zimmer ZWave-Pro

Does the lumpy, rippled appearance of your buttock and thigh area make you feel self-conscious? Are you looking for a painless, non-invasive treatment to diminish the look of dimply, stubborn pockets of fat and cellulite on your body? Look no further than Zimmer ZWave-Pro, the latest innovation in cellulite treatment. This breakthrough technology not only reduces the appearance of cellulite, but also the ZWave can painlessly and gradually tighten the skin and contour the body with successive treatments.

There are no lasers, surgical incisions, nor subsequent scarring involved in the ZWave procedure, so treatments are painless and require zero recovery time. ZWave breaks down the fibrous structures and connective tissues found in cellulite using high-energy sound waves.

These pulses are powerful enough to encourage lymphatic drainage and strengthen the elasticity of connective tissues around muscles and bones, reducing circumference and dramatically improve the appearance of cellulite.

What is the Zimmer ZWave?

The Zimmer ZWave is a revolutionary device developed by Zimmer Aesthetics. The ZWave uses Radial Pulse Therapy (RPT) to transmit high-energy radial shockwaves deep beyond the skin’s surface to treat cellulite. Studies have shown that RPT therapy can also improve fat reduction and the overall results of CoolSculpting procedures. Unlike other cellulite therapies, the ZWave’s radial shock waves penetrate the skin with a precise and even pulse to make treatment virtually painless.

How does the Zimmer ZWave work?

The high-energy acoustic waves delivered by the Zimmer ZWave have been clinically shown to alter the structure of collagen and connective tissues deep within the skin. These powerful pulses stimulate the formation of new collagen and encourage both lymphatic drainage and blood circulation to improve the firmness and elasticity of the skin.

The ZWave first transmits an even, precise pulse of radial energy to squeeze the fat cells that push up against the surrounding connective tissues and molecular grid. The device then transmits a smaller, tensile wave to deflate gas bubbles and breakdown the fat structures that cause cellulite to form.

A message from Dr. David Goldberg and the team at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of NY & NJ:

Dear Patients,

Our providers and staff recognize that we are all faced with difficult times as this pandemic continues to unfold throughout our area. However, the continuation of your care remains our top priority!

At this time, our New York City office is temporarily closed.

In our effort to provide you with the highest level of service, the Hackensack and Hillsborough NJ offices will remain open until further notice with limited hours of availability. We ask for your understanding with our protocols on hand washing and social distancing when you arrive for your appointment. Please do not come to the office if you are experiencing a cough, fever, shortness of breath, or other symptoms associated with COVID-19.

Should you prefer not to visit the office in person, our providers are now offering virtual office visits. This is commonly known as telemedicine, or in this case, teledermatology. Our dedicated concierge team will assist you in scheduling a virtual appointment with your provider, including those in the New York City office.

Currently, the government mandates that the only way to have these virtual visits is to communicate via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, or WhatsApp video. This is because your medical providers needs to see you, and you can show the provider the problem area of your body that you are concerned about. You will also be able to discuss any other issues regarding your ongoing care or for any new skin concerns you may have. Your provider may tell you that an in-person visit may be required for testing or more in-depth examination. In that case, a concierge team member will reach out to schedule an in-office visit.

To schedule your in-person or virtual appointment, please call our office at 908-359-8980 or email [email protected] Our concierge team members will schedule a time for your medical provider to call you back. We have set aside times for all of our medical providers to call you for your virtual appointment.

Please be aware that virtual visits must be billed to your medical health insurance just as they would for an in-person office visit. If your insurance has recently changed, please have that information ready to provide to our team members. Depending on your insurance plan, you may have financial obligations such as co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance just as you would for an in-office visit (at the present time, the government has only waived co-pays related to COVID-19 testing).

We understand that this is a stressful time, but we are here for you!

Stay safe and healthy,

Dr. David Goldberg and the team at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of NY & NJ
