Restylane in New York and New Jersey
Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey offer Restylane® treatments to the residents of New York and New Jersey.
What is Restylane®?
Moderate to severe wrinkles around your mouth can be difficult to treat. Most patients believe that surgery is necessary to correct the effects of aging in this area of the face. Restylane® is a cosmetic filler that contains hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that adds volume to your skin.
What is Restylane® made of?
Your body maintains healthy, youthful skin through a combination of hyaluronic acid, collagen and other substances. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane® adds volume to your skin and is effective for treating deeper lines and wrinkles around your mouth and nose.
How is Restylane® different than other hyaluronic acid-based products?
Restylane® contains no animal byproducts which may cause allergic reactions. Some patients also prefer to avoid animal-based cosmetic fillers due to concerns with the transmission of animal-based diseases.
What should patients do prior to treatment?
Based on your overall health and family medical history, Dr. Goldberg may advise you of pre-treatment procedures. Certain over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements should be avoided prior to your Restylane® treatments. Certain skin conditions may also warrant delaying your Restylane® treatments.
What areas can be treated?
Restylane® can be used on a number of areas on the face. We have successfully used Restylane® to correct nasolabial folds, creases under the eyes, and lines around the mouth. We have also used Restylane® to plump the lips and sharpen the lip border. Dr. Goldberg is a nationally recognized leader in the use of hyaluronic acid filler and would be happy to discuss with you the various ways in which Restylane® can benefit you.
Is Restylane® safe?
Restylane® was first used for cosmetic procedures in 1996 and is a proven cosmetic filler for the treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles. Restylane® contains only all-natural ingredients that are normally produced by your body.
How long does Restylane® last?
In most cases, the results of Restylane® treatments last up to six months.
How often should I have Restylane® treatments done?
The number of treatments is determined during your consultation appointment. Most patients, though, have follow-up treatments every four to six months to maintain the improvements to their skin tone and texture.
Do the injections hurt?
Restylane® is administered using a very small needle and most patients experience little to no discomfort during the injections. If you are especially sensitive to needle injections, speak with Dr. Goldberg about using a topical anesthesia to numb the treatment area.
What is the Cost of a Restylane® treatment in New York and New Jersey?
The price of a Restylane® treatment varies for each person depending on the extent of treatment necessary. Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey accepts CareCredit® and Alphaeon™ Credit, two different financing options that work with every budget!
