ThermiVa – Reclaim. Restore. Revive.
Don’t be embarrassed
Concerns such as vaginal atrophy or urinary incontinence greatly impact a woman’s confidence and quality of life, and yet many women are too embarrassed to discuss their symptoms with a professional. This should not be the case, as issues such as these can lead to uncomfortable pain or itching, less pleasure during sex, and even confusing emotions such as guilt, irritability, or embarrassment. Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists is devoted to making you feel comfortable enough to discuss any issues that you are facing, and encourages women to consider the option of pain-free ThermiVA treatments.
ThermiVA treats vaginal laxity, vulva/labial laxity, vaginal dryness, stress incontinence, and sexual dysfunction. The procedure carefully monitors and regulates the temperature that is delivered to the deeper layer of tissue through a special radio-frequency device. This contracts and tightens the muscles, resulting in the tightening of the vaginal opening, the reduction of sagging, and oftentimes smoother and softer skin.
The tightening of the vaginal walls reduces accidental urine leakage and urge symptoms, and the softer, thicker skin results in added moisture for more comfortable intercourse.
Treatments are spaced one month apart for three months, and there is no downtime after the treatments. It takes around ten minutes for a labia majora reduction treatment, and an additional fifteen minutes for each vaginal tightening procedure. Many patients experience improvement in symptoms after only one treatment, and continue to improve throughout the remainder of the sessions. After the initial course of treatments, patients can receive maintenance treatments every six to twelve months as needed.
