How is a broken capillary treated?
Answered by admin
Question:
I have small but noticeable red vein on my cheek below my eye. I think this is what’s called a broken capillary. I would love to have it removed but I’m a little concerned because of how close it is to my eye. Is it safe to treat this area and what sort of treatment would be used?
Answer:
We have been treating these for over 20 years with a laser that is safe enough to use on newborn infants. It is called the pulsed dye laser. Often only 1- treatments are required to see great results. And yes, we can easily and safely treat not only below your eye- but even on the eyelid itself.
