Irene J. Vergilis-Kalner, MD

Irene J. Vergilis-Kalner, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed her dermatology training at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Vergilis-Kalner also undertook a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and Procedural dermatology for the treatment of skin cancers and dermatologic laser surgery at the DermSurgery Associates, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College and Houston’s Methodist Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Leonard H. Goldberg. She has lectured both nationally and internationally as well as at the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Vergilis-Kalner has also co-authored numerous published peer-reviewed articles.
Dr. Vergilis-Kalner’s special interests include Mohs surgery for the treatment of skin cancer as well as dermatologic aesthetic surgery. She has extensive experience in the laser treatment of sun damaged and aging skin, pigmentary disorders, skin tightening procedures, treatment of stretch marks, leg veins, acne, hair and tattoo removal. Dr. Vergilis-Kalner’s expertise also includes the use of a variety of non-surgical cosmetic wrinkle and facial sculpting techniques, including Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, Radiesse, and Sculptra.

Kristina Lee Campton, MD
Staff Dermatologist
Dr. Campton graduated from Wellesley College and Columbia University, School of Physicians and Surgeons. She is a board certified dermatologist having trained in Dermatology at New York Hospital-Cornell University. She is licensed in New York and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Campton's special interests lie in laser and dermatological treatments for hair and tattoo removal, acne, sun damage, and aging skin. She has expertise in the Thermage and Titan treatments for skin tightening, the Accent cellulite treatment, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photorejuvenation, lasers for spider veins and stretch marks, sclerotherapy vein injections, Botox, and a variety of wrinkle fillers and facial sculpting materials including Radiesse, Perlane, Sculptra and Juvederm.

Dendy Engelman, MD
Procedural Dermatology, Staff Dermatologist
Dr. Dendy Engelman is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and American College of Mohs Surgery. She attended Wofford College in South Carolina and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with honors in a double-major program in psychology and French with a focus in pre-medical studies. Dr. Engelman earned the Presidential Scholar award while a medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina. She was also awarded the Humanism in Medicine Scholarship primarily for establishing and running a free medical care clinic in Charleston. In an effort to continue to provide medical care to the underserved, Dr. Engelman and her family provide medical care in Haiti annually. Following medical school, Dr. Engelman completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. In addition to a dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Engelman completed a one-year fellowship in dermatologic surgery, lasers, liposuction and vein treatments under Dr. David Goldberg.

David Ciocon, MD

Dr. David Ciocon received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (cum laude) and his M.D. from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Prior to his residency in dermatology, he completed three years of a combined general and plastic surgery residency training at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital as well as a one-year clinical research fellowship in psoriasis at Harvard University, Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He subsequently completed his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident, and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey under the guidance of Dr. David Goldberg. He has co-authored numerous articles and chapters in the fields of psoriasis, nail disorders, and surgical and non-surgical approaches to cosmetic rejuvenation.
A board certified dermatologist, he is licensed in New Jersey and New York. He is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. He has a pending membership into the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He holds appointments to the dermatology teaching faculties of both the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Chang Soo Kim, M.D.
Chang Soo Kim, M.D. is a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has been in practice since 2003. He is known for both surgical and non-invasive treatments for total body aesthetics with a focus on facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and liposuction.
Dr. Kim also performs the full breadth of reconstructive surgery, including melanoma/skin cancer ablation, sentinel lymph node biopsy, breast and lower extremity reconstruction, hand surgery, microsurgery, and facial/hand trauma reconstruction.
Dr. Kim is a professional member of internationally-known dermatologist and author, Dr. David Goldberg’s cosmetic dermatology center, Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey.

Dr. Kim is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Haverford College, where he was a Howard Hughes Research Scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine, where he was a Plastic Surgery Scholastic award recipient. His internship and 2-year general surgery residency were completed at Yale-New Haven Hospital, as was his 3-year plastic surgery residency. His Research Fellowship at the American Heart Association was focused on molecular signaling in wound healing. He has presented numerous scientific and medical research papers over the course of his professional career.

Mussarrat Hussain, MS, MD
Director, Clinical Research
Dr. Hussain graduated from Khyber Medical College in Pakistan. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery and has successfully completed fellowships in dermatologic surgery, both in the USA and Bangkok, Thailand. He has also completed a M.Sc. in Clinical Dermatology from the University of London, and a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the Institute of Dermatology in Bangkok. Dr. Hussain is the director of our laser and cosmetic dermatology research program. He is an author/co-author of multiple published clinical research papers.

Sophia Phan is a Licensed Aesthetician with over four years of experience working in a medical setting. Sophia completed her training at The New York School of Esthetics, holds a Medical Aesthetic Certification from The IPL Institute and a BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY New Paltz.
