David J. Goldberg M.D. David J. Goldberg, M.D. is recognized nationally and internationally for his innovative work with skin lasers, cosmetic dermatology and facial rejuvenation techniques. A board-certified dermatologist who has been in practice since 1985, he has treated patients and taught doctors throughout the world in the use of these cutting-edge technologies. Under his direction, Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey has been a pioneer in making skin laser and cosmetic dermatology technologies available to the public. Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Yale University. He completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New York University Medical Center. He is a clinical professor and director of Laser Research in the department of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Goldberg has published over 125 academic papers and has contributed to over 10 academic textbooks. He has authored textbooks on laser dermatology, laser hair removal, laser facial rejuvenation, photodamaged skin and skin wrinkle fillers. He has also co-authored two books for the general public: Light Years Younger and Secrets of Great Skin. Dr. Goldberg is active in professional societies and was elected president of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery. He has also served as chairperson of the Ethics Committees of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has sat on the board of directors of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Goldberg was recently elected to the board of directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and Secretary to the board of directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He also serves as a co-vice-president of the Skin Cancer Foundation. Dr. Goldberg was the first recipient of the prestigious Leon Goldman award, named after the founder of laser surgery. Additionally, Dr. Goldberg was named one of the "Top Ten Laser Surgeons in the U.S." by Self magazine, one of the "Best Doctors in America" by Woodward/White, Inc., a "Best Doctor in America" by Best Doctors Inc. and one of the "Best Dermatologists in New Jersey" by New Jersey Monthly. | Kristina Lee Campton, MD Staff Dermatologist Dr. Campton graduated from Wellesley College and Columbia University, School of Physicians and Surgeons. She is a board certified dermatologist having trained in Dermatology at New York Hospital-Cornell University. She is licensed in New York and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Campton's special interests lie in laser and dermatological treatments for hair and tattoo removal, acne, sun damage, and aging skin. She has expertise in the Thermage and Titan treatments for skin tightening, the Accent cellulite treatment, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photorejuvenation, lasers for spider veins and stretch marks, sclerotherapy vein injections, Botox, and a variety of wrinkle fillers and facial sculpting materials including Radiesse, Perlane, Sculptra and Juvederm. | Dendy Engelman, MD Procedural Dermatology, Staff Dermatologist Dr. Dendy Engelman is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and American College of Mohs Surgery. She attended Wofford College in South Carolina and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with honors in a double-major program in psychology and French with a focus in pre-medical studies. Dr. Engelman earned the Presidential Scholar award while a medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina. She was also awarded the Humanism in Medicine Scholarship primarily for establishing and running a free medical care clinic in Charleston. In an effort to continue to provide medical care to the underserved, Dr. Engelman and her family provide medical care in Haiti annually. Following medical school, Dr. Engelman completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. In addition to a dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Engelman completed a one-year fellowship in dermatologic surgery, lasers, liposuction and vein treatments under Dr. David Goldberg. Dr. Engelman's special interests include Mohs surgery for the treatment of skin cancer as well as dermatologic aesthetic surgery. She has extensive experience in the laser treatment of sun damaged and aging skin, pigmentary disorders, skin tightening procedures, treatment of stretch marks, leg veins, acne, hair, birthmark, and tattoo removal. Dr. Engelman's expertise also includes the use of a variety of non-surgical cosmetic wrinkle and facial sculpting techniques, including Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, and Radiesse as well as Thermage, Matrix, Fraxel, and Intense Pulsed Light. Dr. Engelman has recently been named the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at New York Medical College in Manhattan. | David Ciocon, MD Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Procedural Dermatology, Staff Dermatologist Dr. David Ciocon received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (cum laude) and his M.D. from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Prior to his residency in dermatology, he completed three years of a combined general and plastic surgery residency training at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital as well as a one-year clinical research fellowship in psoriasis at Harvard University, Brigham & Women's Hospital. He subsequently completed his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident, and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey under the guidance of Dr. David Goldberg. He has co-authored numerous articles and chapters in the fields of psoriasis, nail disorders, and surgical and non-surgical approaches to cosmetic rejuvenation. A board certified dermatologist, he is licensed in New Jersey and New York. He is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He holds appointments to the dermatology teaching faculties of both the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Jennifer Chwalek, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She graduated from Vassar College with honors in art history. Dr. Chwalek received her medical degree from the University of Maryland where she was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Following medical school she completed her internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and a clinical research fellowship studying cutaneous hair biology and alopecia with renowned hair expert, Dr. Vera Price at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Maryland where she served as chief resident. Prior to joining Skin Surgery and Laser Specialists, she worked in Northern California and served as a clinical instructor in the department of dermatology at UCSF. She has been asked to lecture at numerous national and international conferences and has written book chapters and articles for peer-reviewed journals. Her professional interests include hair loss, mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic and laser procedures. | Jeremy Man, MD
Dr. Jeremy Man graduated from medical school at the University of Alberta in Canada. He did his dermatology training at the University of Alberta where he served as chief resident in dermatology. He is a certified dermatology fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is a member of the Canadian Dermatology Association. Dr. Man is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has lectured at numerous meetings in both Canada and the US. Dr. Man's interests include dermatologic research, cosmetic skin treatments and quality care in dermatology. He has participated in research trials and has won awards for his research. He is actively involved in the education of other dermatologists. |
