Question: I never heard of photomodulation until I came across your website. What is it exactly? Is it a laser treatment?Answer: Photomodulation is not a laser procedure. It is the use of LED or low-level treatment to improve something in the skin. Such treatments have been used for years in sports medicine to reduce swelling and inflammation in jints. In dermatology such treatments can be used either alone or in combination with other laser treatments to promote anti-aging, improve acne or lessen melasma.

Question: What does Photomodulation treat? Answer: Red light photomodulation is used for acne and ant-aging. It is alsoused for various discolorations of the skin , as an anti-inflammatory effect, rosacea and for the treatment of sunburns. Blue LED photomodulation is used for acne. Infra-red photomodulation is combined with red LED treatments for anti-aging of the skin.

Question: Can you explain what photomodulation is? Answer: Photomodulation is the use of low level light sources, such aa medical grade LED light, to change cellular structures in the skin. The most commonly used LED lights are red, blue, and near-infrared.
