Answer: MiraDry is a unique microwave based system that dramatically decreases armpitsweating. Two sessions are undertaken 3 months apart. Most patients note decreased sweating that lasts up to 9-12 months after treatment. Some patients have reported to us that they not only have less sweating, but also lessarmpitodor.

Question: Is it true that MiraDry for underarm sweating produces longer lasting results than Botox? Answer: The true answer is that as of this time, no formal comparison studies have been performed. The advantage of MiraDry treatment of underarm sweating is that it does not involve the use of botulinum toxin injections. In addition, although not part of the formal MiraDry claim, some patients have reported not only post MiraDry decrease in sweating, but also decreased underarm odor.

Question: I have been dealing with very bad, very embarrassing underarm sweating for years. I was considering Botox injections but recently read about a procedure called miraDry. Can you explain how this works? Is it a better option than Botox?Answer: Botox injections lessen sweating by the injection of the wrinkle removing Botox or Dysport into the armpits. Mirdry is an exciting new technology that does not require any injections. This microwave treatment not only lessens armpit swelling, but also decreases offensive odor.
