Question: My son keeps getting repeat yeast infections in his diaper area and nothing that I do seems to improve it. Do you have any recommendations for treating it? Answer: Your child should be seen by a dermatologist to determine if in fact this is a yeast infection. Sometimes what is called a yeast infection is not that at all. Once the diagnosis is established there are highly effective medications both to treat the condition – as well as lessen the likelihood of recurrence.
