Question:

I have some horrible keloid scarring from an injury years ago. Can this be treated, and is there concern that treatment will lead to another Keloid forming?

Answer:

Surgical removal of keloids is usually associated with a high risk of recurrence. Generally results can be achieved with a combination approach of injected cortisone treatments and use of the pulsed dye laser.
